The
Greater Manchester Gymnastics Association was dusted off at the end of 2002 to run the County Grades as
the number of gymnasts entering the Regional Grades competitions
at 6, 5 and 4 was getting too large. The sole purpose of the GMGA
was to run these grades competitions and to run other County
competitions as necessary to develop the sport.
At the
AGM of the North West Gymnastics Association in 2007 the structure
of the counties was changed and the GMGA ceased to exist. The
running of the Greater Manchester Grades is now the responsibility
of the NWGA Womens Technical Committee and is organised locally by
the Greater Manchester panel
Competition Dates for
2013
Our last competition was the GM 4 Piece 19th/20th October at Wigan.
This was the qualifying competition for the NW Inter-county Teams to

The Greater Manchester
Open 2013 was on the weekend of 1st/2nd June 2013 at Robin
Park Sports Centre in Wigan. All results are available on the GM Open 2013 page

The GM Floor and Vault
Championship was held on 6th/7th July 2013 at Robin
Park Sports Centre in Wigan. The results can be downloaded

The GM 4 Piece
Championship was held on 20th/21st October 2012 at Wigan. All the results can be downloaded

page.
The Greater Manchester County Team
had a good result in the Inter County Teams finals on Sunday 25th November
2012 in Wigan.
They won all 5 of the 7 categories. The full results can be downloaded on the

The 2013 GM Regional Grades
were held on 2nd/3rd February 2013. The results are now available on the
GM Grades 2013
page.
The Greater Manchester County Team
swept the board in the Regional Grades finals on Sunday 24th
February 2013 in Wigan.
They won 5 of the 6 grades and won the overall
