Music
We
have to pay a licence for the public use of music at our events,
which covers us for all floor music and the backgroud music in the
quiet bits. This does not however cover us for the music of Disney,
Andrew Lloyd Webber or Cirque du Soleil, so we will not be
playing any floor routines based on this music. So please find new
music.
The
other observation is that a lot of the music on cassette is becoming
almost unusable. There are a number of reasons for this and as the
guy who has to play the music at competitions we are only accepting CDs in
2009. This is as we have a new music system for this year, paid for
by the NW Executive.
So
for 2009 please can we see good quality CDs, competition copies as your
everyday working copy from the gym will probably be a little
scuffed. Lead ins should be removed, if possible.
